Six of the Port Angeles Fire Department’s finest were honored during a badge pinning ceremony on Friday, March 10th, to commemorate the successful completion of probation for several promotions and the hiring of a new Assistant Fire Chief of EMS and Operations.

Recognized during the ceremony were Joel McKeen, who joined Port Angeles Fire Department in January 2023 as Assistant Chief of EMS and Operations; Andrew Cooper, promoted to Captain; Travis McFarland, promoted to Captain; Daniel Montana, promoted to Lieutenant; Michael Ingraham, promoted to Lieutenant; and Tyler Gage, promoted to Lieutenant. The ceremony, which took place at the Port Angeles Fire Station, was well attended by family members, colleagues, and Port Angeles Fire Department Leadership.

The pinning ceremony is a proud tradition and a worthy way to honor these firefighters, who stand as excellent examples of leadership. They have earned their promotions through great sacrifice, professionalism, and a commitment to serving the citizens of Port Angeles
