Clallam County Weather Update

Well, with the exception of a storm that was dryer, but windier than expected in the middle of the week, all in all, it wasn’t too bad.  But then it appears spring hasn’t sprung yet so not being too bad means not too bad for say February, not May.

Yes, it’s still a little cool and even damp for almost being late May.  Steven’s, White and other passes and even Hurricane Ridge are seeing snow accumulations here and there.  But it looks like we are finally in for a reward.

This weekend looks fabulous.  While Saturday may be a little clearer, Sunday actually looks like it could be well into the 60’s and very nice.  Airport Days and William Fairchild in PA is happening Saturday, so I invite everyone to  come out and enjoy the weather and see all kinds of stuff.  Our Clallam County Sheriff’s stuff will be there and so will I.  Boomer? Well, not so sure about that.  Sunday, I am really hoping to get my Harley out and take a scoot with friends and think it’ll be perfect for that.  A Harley.  You know that middle age guy (ok, old guy for me) toy thing that costs too much and gets too little use?  That thing.

And, our forecast is for similar weather well into next week.  I didn’t see much in the way of rain, and temperatures will be up and down….maybe nice in the afternoon and cool in the mornings, but a little more pleasant than we have been.

So there you go.  It’s about time we have a boring but presentable forecast.  Our photo today is yes, another of our fantastic beaches.  I for one, never tire of them and find them peaceful somehow.  This one was taken in Neah Bay by a relative this week at Hobuck or Tsoo-Yess Beach. (Maybe right about the mouth of the river there) Thanks Rose.

I also want to mention our resident celebrity Mathew Nichols who provides us with some many beautiful photos for our posts was on TV this week, being interviewed by KOMO reporter Eric Johnson where he named the famous Tree of Life at Kalaloch his weekly Hero.  Mathew was interviewed due to his gorgeous pictures of the tree and is in fact, my hero for letting us use his photos from time to time.

So there.  Thank you all for reading and commenting on our posts.  It’s usually fun to hear from you all.  So, get out there and fun this weekend, but please:

Stay safe
