***OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING WEEKLY UPDATE***

The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Elma Police Department officer involved shooting that occurred on April 3, 2022 in McCleary, Washington.  No one was injured during this event.  This is a criminal investigation into the use of force and the results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Grays Harbor County Prosecutor.  In concordance with recent legislation the agency conducting the independent investigation will give updates once per week even if there is no new progress to report.  

At this time detectives are still gathering information and investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
