Housing Fund Board Seeks Members for open Positions on Four (4) Committees

The Joint Jefferson County/City of Port Townsend Housing Fund Board is looking for Volunteer Members to fill positions on four (4) Committees.

Community Conversations Committee

 – Two (2) open positions to serve as Citizen Representatives

–  Terms are for 1 year.

–  This committee will also have three (3) members of the Housing Fund Board (HFB).

The Community Conversations Committee will plan the schedule and program for broader community conversations about the housing continuum and seeks to bring a diverse range of stakeholders to the table to continue our community efforts to address the housing crisis in Jefferson County.

Funding Opportunities Committee

– Two (2) open positions to serve as Citizen Representatives

–  Terms are for 1 year.

–  This committee will also have three (3) members of the Housing Fund Board (HFB).

The Funding Opportunities Committee will identify funding opportunities and do preliminary analysis before passing recommendations for potential funding on to the HFB.

Request For Proposal (RFP) Committee

– Two (2) open positions to serve as Citizen Representatives

–  Terms are for 1 year.

–  This committee will also have three (3) members of the Housing Fund Board (HFB).

The RFP Committee will prepare requests for proposals for the use of what are known as 148 and 149 funds from the State Commerce Department for use in addressing homelessness and affordable housing needs. The RFP Committee will make a recommendation to the HFB for allocation of these funds based on the criteria established by the RFP.

Five Year Plan Committee

–  Two (2) open positions to serve as Citizen Representatives

–  Terms are for 1 year.

–  This committee will also have three (3) members of the Housing Fund Board (HFB).

The HFB is seeking applicants with experience in housing development, homeless and housing services and/or lived experience in housing insecurity.  New and existing applicants are encouraged to speak to relevant experience on the Boards and Commissions Volunteer Application Form. Additionally, the board seeks representation of geographic, economic, gender, age and racial/ ethnic diversity.
