CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND: Repair Work Nov. 19 Means No Water Service Around Point Hudson

City of Port Townsend issued the following announcement on Nov. 17.

Water service to Point Hudson and a portion of Monroe Street in downtown Port Townsend is to be off from 7 am to 6 pm Thursday, Nov. 19 for the replacement of broken pipes. Traffic detours around the area are to be maintained through the end of the week, the City of Port Townsend reported Nov. 18.

A water leak discovered Monday evening led to both sewer and water overflow at the corner of Monroe and Water streets downtown. Seton Construction of Port Townsend brought their tracked excavator to the site on Tuesday to assist city crews.

People with questions are asked to call City of Port Townsend Public Works at 360-379-5096.
