A few days before President Biden’s inauguration, the Republican State Leadership Committee urged Americans to support a peaceful transition of the presidency.

Citing several protests, RSLC, in their statement, urges everyone to remain calm and heal as one nation.

“From the devastating riots in cities across the country last summer to the vile attacks on the U.S. Capitol last week, political violence has shaken America to her core. As we near next week’s peaceful transition of power – the pillar of any free democracy – the RSLC urges every American in Washington and in the states to take personal responsibility and act in a civilized manner.”

Condemning civil unrest and violence that have transpired, the caucus enjoins the citizens, the whole nation, to move forward, undivided.

“No degree of frustration or disappointment excuses violent behavior – ever. In this difficult moment, we must work together to heal our nation. The actions taken in the coming days and weeks will be ingrained in history. We pray for peace in our nation’s capital, in our state capitals, and throughout the nation as our country moves forward together.”

The statement released ahead of the inauguration was published on the Republican State Leadership Committee website.
