City of Port Angeles recently issued the following announcement on March 2.
The City of Port Angeles is accepting applications to fill open positions on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The following three seats are available:
Citizen-at-Large(3 seats) - a seat is open for individuals who neither represents businesses required to collect the lodging excise tax nor a person involved in activities authorized to be funded by the lodging excise tax. The citizen-at-large is a non-voting member.
The LTAC is an advisory group that makes recommendations to the City Council on activities and/or facilities to be funded by lodging excise tax revenues.
The committee has representatives who serve on behalf of activities funded by lodging excise tax, representatives who serve on behalf of those who collect lodging excise tax, as well as community members-at-large. Members serve in a volunteer capacity for up to 2 years, depending on the seat. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis.
