City to Resume Standard, In-Person Operating Hours Effective March 28, 2022

Port Angeles City Hall will resume standard, in-person operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, beginning March 28, 2022. In addition to in-person assistance, City staff continue to be available by phone and email and many services continue to be available virtually. Digital services include:

  • Utility Service Connects/Disconnects and Auto-On
  • Utility Bill Pay, Budget Billing and Discount Application Submittal
  • Virtual Meetings with City Staff 
  • Online Appointment Bookings with Engineering and CED Staff
  • Permit Application Submittal (Digital submission required) 
  • Many Building, Fire, Electrical, Engineering & Planning Inspections and all Inspection Requests
A public computer kiosk is available at City Hall for appointment bookings and inspection requests. City staff is available to assist with kiosk use.  

City Hall Access: Please note, the 5th Street entrance will continue to be the main entrance to City Hall. All other access doors will be locked.

Additional Facility Information: 

Parks & Recreation Facilities: The Vern Burton Community Center and Port Angeles Senior & Community Center will resume standard, in-person operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, effective March 28th.  Parks & Recreation staff continue to be available by phone and email. 

Port Angeles Fire Department: If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1. Port Angeles Fire Department staff are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. 

Port Angeles Police Department: If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1. The Records Division is available by phone from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Lobby hours will remain 9:00am to 4:00pm for in-person services, such as fingerprinting, concealed pistol licenses, property and evidence, parking ticket payments, bicycle registration, and medication disposal. PAPD staff will continue to escort PAPD visitors from the North and South Mall doors.   

Signing in Upon Entry to City Facilities: To support visitation, appointment connections, facility security and contact tracing, visitors are asked to continue to sign in upon entrance to City facilities. 

Masking: As a reminder, the City ended its indoor masking requirement on March 12th, following guidance provided by state and local health officials. Masks will continue to be available to all employees and visitors upon entry to City facilities. Thank you for being respectful of those who choose to wear a face covering. 

Hybrid City Council Meetings: The City of Port Angeles is excited to introduce hybrid City Council meetings. Hybrid meetings will include both a virtual and in-person attendance option for Council and the public.

The City Council will hold hybrid meetings when the COVID-19 risk is Very Low or Low, per the Clallam County Online Coronavirus Dashboard, at the time the meeting agenda is advertised. 

The City Council will hold virtual meetings when the COVID-19 risk is Moderate or High, per the Clallam County Online Coronavirus Dashboard, at the time the meeting agenda is advertised.
