Recent State of Grays Harbor Event Unveiled the 2022 Economic Vitality Index and Featured Speakers from Around the County

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) recently facilitated our signature State of Grays Harbor luncheon on Tuesday, June 28 at the Rotary Log Pavilion in Aberdeen, WA.

The event was held in-person for the first time since 2019 and drew a nearly sold out crowd to hear insight gathered in GGHI’s regional Economic Vitality Index (EVI). This uniquely

commissioned economic research for Grays Harbor County provides insight into workforce, real estate, and development.

Lynnette Buffington kicked off the State of Grays Harbor with an in-depth analysis into the EVI. Presentations were then given by Alissa Shay, General Manager of the Satsop

Business Park, Dr. Ed Brewster, President (Interim) at Grays Harbor College, and William Westmoreland, CEO of PacMtn Workforce Development Council.

“It was fantastic to see our community gathered together for our annual State of Grays Harbor event and it was even better to hold it in-person for the first time since 2019,” explains

GGHI CEO, Lynnette Buffington. “The information presented in both the EVI and our by speakers showcases the incredible growth of Grays Harbor County and helps us continue to

forecast and respond to the demands of building a strong local economy.”

The 2022 EVI is now live at bit.ly/3P6XftF. Historical archives of past reports and data can be found at graysharbor.org/business/demographics.

The State of Grays Harbor was generously sponsored by Presenting Sponsor, TwinStar Credit Union, and Supporting Sponsor, Quinault Corporate Enterprises. For more information
