Census Bureau: 6.4% of people in Grays Harbor County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 74,737 citizens living in Grays Harbor County in 2021, 93.6% said they were only one race, while 6.4% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Grays Harbor County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 85.1% or 63,566 individuals. Following them, American Indian or Alaska Native accounted for 3.7% and totaled 2,760 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Grays Harbor County is 2.2% lower than the state average, which stands at 8.6%.
