Ezra Kikue Cook from Port Townsend High School received the top prize of “Best of Show” for a photo still, entitled, Waking Up.

“Waking Up” has been my first major passion project,” Cook said. “I am a 17-year-old aspiring director/writer/producer and I have always been fascinated with the subconscious. ‘Waking Up,’ went through several drafts… When the school year began, I joined a film class at Port Townsend High School, taught by David Egeler, and was able to pick the project back up. It’s not the perfect film, and I have a lot to learn technically, but I believe it has substance, and substance that is meaningful to me.”
